Attachment of Earnings Order

This is an order made by the court and served by them directly on a judgment debtor’s employer. It compels the payroll department of the employer to deduct at source a court determined instalment. The employer themselves are in breach of the order if they fail to comply. This will reduce the amount paid by them to their employee (the judgment debtor).
